DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!
I bought a washer and dryer from Conn's Home Plus and they had a deal going on where you could pay no interest for 12 months on purchases. I didn’t plan on financing them but thought, why not!
First off, their “Auto Pay” system hasn’t worked EVER in the four months since my purchase. Even though I have been enrolled in Auto Pay since day 1, each month I get a notice about my payment and I have to log in and manually make a credit card payment. Then I call customer service and they tell me that I need to re-setup Auto Pay…which I do….and the next month…the same thing!
In August, I went through this stupid process again but this time, they took my payment TWICE. It was deducted twice from my bank and credited twice to my account at Conn’s. I called them to tell them that I didn’t authorize that payment and that I wanted them to put the other payment back. They assured me that it was an issue with their system and that they would be cancelling the first extra payment. THEY DIDN’T!!!! It cleared my account. Both of them.
I called AGAIN a week or so later and they told me that they were going to issue a refund. I wait another week or so and still no refund. Then, I called in AGAIN and they told me that they were issuing my refund and that it would take six weeks for it to process and get sent to me.
SO…after holding my money for three weeks without my permission, the only way that they can send me a refund is by check and it is going to take six weeks?!?!?! Are we living in 1990?!?!?! WFT?!!?!
I called their billing department and spoke with a manager named Zach. I doubt that is really his name but that’s the name he gave me. He may have been one of the RUDEST customer service people that I have ever dealt with. Not only did he do NOTHING to help me, he, and another lady at Conn’s proceeded to BLAME ME for the extra payment saying that I authorized it. THAT’S ABSURD!!! Why would someone make two payments that were timed stamped in the same second and the call and complain about it.
I don’t advise that anyone EVER do business with this company. They are rude, incompetent and don’t seem to care much about customer experience. If you need appliances or anything else for your home, you can do a lot better than having to deal with these CLOWNS!!!!
